The ultimate cruise-around-Wales vacation

Today's blog post is all about luxury and sailing; two fabulous things! - - a little update on a post I made back in January after meeting the owner of a classic yacht, now with their new YouTube video embedded below. Mmmmm, wish I had my own private yacht. Yeah, this one's a dreamy blog post ready for when I win the lottery...

How about touring Wales aboard a luxury classic yacht? What if that yacht happened to offer the ultimate in luxury and your very own chef?

Wales is surrounded by coast on three sides, and abuts England on the other. Sailing around Wales’ stunning coastline and islands, stopping off to explore places along the way would be amazing. Visit the city of St. David’s with its historic cathedral a site of pilgrimage for more than a millennium; stop by pretty fishing villages and harbor towns; explore the capital city, Cardiff, or Dylan Thomas’ birthplace, Swansea; and take in coastal vistas along the way. Here’s how you can do just that…

Luxury classic yacht ‘Halcyon’ has her home port in Pembrokeshire, Wales. She celebrates her 80th birthday this year, and her exterior and interiors evoke restored 1920’s splendor.

While the yacht is frequently chartered throughout the year, book in advance for your small group to stay on board to tour Wales from a unique vantage point. Eight guests can stay on board in the four guest cabins. During a longer cruise round Wales, perhaps opt to spend some nights at luxury hotels such as St. Bride’s Spa Hotel in Pembrokeshire or the St. David’s Hotel and Spa in Cardiff.

Andrew Armour, the yacht’s current owner, lives in Tenby, West Wales. Together with his crew, he can plan and deliver the ultimate sea-faring vacation for a small group.
